Robert Crompton

Executive Director, Mentre

Robert Crompton is Executive Director of Mentre, and a Partner of Joint Technology Partners, which is a 35% shareholder in the Information City incubator network.

Previously, Mr Crompton was Executive Director of Multimedia Victoria, in the Department of State Development, Victorian Government, for two years from 1987 to 1998. As Executive Director, Mr. Crompton was responsible for managing the core functions of Multimedia Victoria and co-ordinating the implementation of its strategies related to taking Government services on line, industry development and investment attraction.

He joined the Victorian Government from the private sector where for some nine years he was Director Technology and Development for Mayne Nickless Limited, a diversified transport, security, healthcare and (until recently), telecommunications company.
